Today, clarity in communication is essential more than ever. I create clear, engaging, well thought-through designs that reflect my years of experience in the field of graphic design for the web and print.

Workflow

1. Listen

First of all, I’ll gather as much knowledge as I can about your organisation, your people, and your project. I want to hear exactly what it is you’re after, what your project needs to achieve, and how its success will be measured for everyone involved.

2. Explore

Next, I let my creative juices run wild with your project to explore a wide array of different possibilities. Many iterations of sketches, mockups, and functional prototypes will be used to work out what the ideal solution for your project will look like.

4. Support

I aim to establish long-term relationships with every client. After your project is completed, I’ll monitor its progress to make sure all the objectives are being met. I’ll maintain an on-going dialogue to ensure ample support and fine-tuning are provided anywhere they’re needed.

3. Launch

Once the best option has been decided, I’ll go right ahead and bring it to life. You’ll be kept up to date throughout development, and before you know it your project will be up and running—ready to go live as soon as you give me the final nod.

How I roll

Simple makes sense. One should not increase, beyond what is necessary, the number of entities required to explain anything—Occam’s Razor.

Design is valuable. Design is not a commodity—it is a valuable business tool that requires an investment of time, trust, and collaboration in order to truly add value to your business.

Professional efficiency. So your step-aunt’s brother-in-law is a web-designer, aye? Go with them if you want, but any money you save now will be far outweighed by the extra hassle and cost of fixing their mistakes later. Your call.

Down to earth. Genuine, every-day language is hard to beat. Cryptic, vague, sensationalised, jargon-filled, and overly corporate marketing copy just doesn’t cut it any more.

Not just a pretty picture. Great design requires thorough research and collaboration so that informed decisions can be made. Anything created without genuinely understanding the problem is at best a pretty picture.

Templates suck. Taking the time to understand the situation inside-out and designing a solution around those needs will always beat the one-size-fits-all, template-happy, quantity-over-quality approach hands down.

Constant Balance. For every project, I aim to find a trade-off between cost, quality, and time that suits you and your project. Tell me where your project’s priorities lie and I’ll put a quote together.

Size matters. As one designer, I can give your project plenty of attention, get things done quickly, and stay flexible as your needs change. Your project will most likely be 1 of 3 projects, not 1 of 20.

Less is more. Companies that say they can do everything often don’t really excel at anything. I’d rather do less, and settle for blowing you away with what I can do.

I’d use me. Every day I try to be the kind of person that I’d want to do business with myself. In the design business, that’s what makes all the difference.

Satisfaction isn’t enough. I don’t just want my clients to be satisfied. That’s how people feel when their experience has been average. Instead, I measure success by how happy I can make my clients.

Trends don’t matter. Results do. I don’t make design decisions based on what everyone else in the industry is doing. I make decisions based on what makes the most sense for you and your customers.

Why choose me?

High standards

If you’re after handcrafted, pixel-perfect, considered, thoughtful, effective, ingenious, long-term, usable, I-didn’t-know-I-wanted-that-until-I-saw-it results created just for you—that’s me.

Priorities

I value my time and skills highly, but I value your time and money even more. I’m switched on, flexible, ruthlessly efficient, and pay keen attention to detail.

Enthusiastic

I proudly invest a great deal of personal energy into every piece of work I do. Put simply, I produce great work, and my service won’t be beat.

Me from start to finish

Call me and you’ll speak directly to the person who is an expert at designing effective graphics and usable websites. You wont speak to any salespeople or middle-men here, I promise.

Reputation

I’m known for offering efficient, friendly, genuine customer service to every client that engages me, and I work hard to live up to that reputation every day.

I love what I do

I’m not in the business of selling. All I have is a love for great design, and for working with switched-on clients to make great things happen.
